A Legacy of Service and Hope

Bob ThomsonGrowing up on Staten Island and now living in Robbinsville, New Jersey, this dedicated supporter has built a life centered on service to others. After a long career in information technology support, retirement has provided more time to focus on the causes that matter most.

For nearly 40 years, Bob Thomson served his community as a volunteer firefighter—an extraordinary commitment that reflects a lifelong desire to help and protect others. Today, he remains active in his faith community at Dutch Neck Presbyterian Church, continuing his tradition of service and connection.

That same spirit of service is what drew him to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF).

Bob values the organization’s leadership in advancing research and its strong patient education programs. “The MMRF has great patient education programs and is a leader in research in finding a cure,” he shares. Access to reliable information about the disease has been one of the most meaningful benefits of his involvement.

Motivated by a simple but powerful goal—helping find a cure for multiple myeloma—Bob chose to make a lasting commitment by including the MMRF in his will. A bequest was the right choice for him because it was straightforward and easy to put in place.

Through this planned gift, he hopes to support both groundbreaking research and the patient education programs that make such a difference for individuals and families facing the disease.

His advice to others considering a similar legacy is simple and direct: “Do it. It’s a simple way to make a lasting impact for future patients.”

After a lifetime of serving his community, his legacy with the MMRF ensures that his commitment to helping others will continue for years to come—bringing hope to patients and moving us closer to a cure.
